Subject: US War Dept Film

Hour-long War Dept documentary on the Battles of Arawe Beach and Cape Gloucester in New Britain / Papua New Guinea.

Film begins with the build-up to the battles as troops mass in preparation, with help of native Papuans. ("Fuzzy wuzzy's" in the film's non-PC vernacular.) Film details the complications of warfare in jungle, mud, terrain. Ends with shots of wounded and wreckage of war.
